Remembering from the other side

 

In this old graveyard flags are still placed on the graves of soldiers from long past conflicts, names are worn away on some stones leaving a gap in the story that earned the flag. And so it goes over and over, new conflicts we can’t seem to solve more wisely, instead ending up in battles and wars that seem to just lead to the next.

And each generation is left remembering from the other side.
