I hadn’t walked this stretch of old, closed road in some times. It had become a partying and dumping spot which made it less than attractive a spot. But I stopped today and was pleasantly surprised to see that it was all cleaned up and now a quiet resting place. There was a plaque announcing the fact and granite rectangles to sit on to enjoy the view. The pond had just a skim of ice on it and the sun was just starting to break through the clouds, what a lovely place to be at that moment. There was a dusting of snow that made the whole scene sparkle. I couldn’t stay for very long, but am glad I decided at the last moment to pull over and take a look.
